no, this wouldn't work..., March 25, 2011no, this wouldn't work on the pentel. the hole on this cartridge is much bigger,
i'm pretty sure the ink would just leak everywhere. get the kuretake pen, i
think it's even better than the pentel.

cartridge is the small metal ball that sits at the opening -- when you snap the
cartridge into a pen, the ball is forced up into the reservoir where it bounces
around and keeps the ink mixed! Really good design.

one much better. The ink flows faster, allowing fast strokes to stay more
saturated. The tip of the pen body is more tapered, so you can comfortably hold
it further down for more precise work. Also what's cool is the Kuretake ink
cartridges have a small metal ball blocking the hole - when you snap the
cartridge into the pen, the ball is forced into the cartridge where it stays and
keeps the ink mixed up. Awesome!

I think this is a pretty..., April 28, 2010I think this is a pretty sturdy pencil component. It's scary to take apart at
first - if you look closely at the metal tube about half an inch above the
spring, you can see a small seam where the parts overlap. Pull hard and they'll
separate, but you have to be very careful: if you don't keep them perfectly
straight, the lead pieces inside can break.
These components work really well with the pen. The very tip of the cartridge has a small ring that can't go past the tip of the pen body, so after the pencil tip is already down, you just press the pen's button down a little more to make tiny clicks that advance the lead inside the cartridge. It's easy once you try it. |

This pen takes a little..., April 28, 2010This pen takes a little dexterity to load and change - you have to look down the
open barrel and push your refill into one of 5 holes until you feel a small
click. The buttons depress very smoothly, stay down while you're writing, and
pop right back up when you press a different one. The pen body is completely
smooth, and I love how the bottom is clear so you can see all your pen/pencil
tips lined up.
I'm so glad someone came out with a multi-pen that's this customizable. In mine I have a black gel ink pen and 4 mechanical pencils (with graphite, red, orange and blue leads). I LOVE IT, It's all I need for writing, sketching or drawing on the go. |

These leads do break..., April 28, 2010These leads do break pretty easily, and wear down fast too (especially the
orange). Not the best for extensive drawing, but might be nice just for small
sketches or color-coded notes...

This pen is great-- 4..., March 27, 2010This pen is great-- 4 nice quality ballpoint pens, and a mechanical pencil. It's
everything I need. I wish the eraser was a little bigger, but they sell refills
so I'll deal with it. Overall, nice! Get the pen!
