Few words are needed to describe this ink because the quality really speaks for
itself. Though it may be more expensive than other inks out there, I have yet to
find any that compare to this one. If you enjoy writing then this ink will make
the experience even more pleasurable! It is, by far, my favorite black ink out
there. I'm so glad I can stop buying multiple ink bottles to find a black ink
that really suits my taste. Flow is amazing, saturation is great, and the color
is quite dark. Look no further, you've just found what you've been looking for!
So I have previously been using the Hi-Tec-C pens in the .25mm size because I
love the precision that they offer. When I decided to purchase this pen, I was
skeptical because it was bigger and I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to get
the same precision...boy was I wrong! Not only is this pen incredibly precise,
it just glides along the paper without any problems whatsoever. The Hi-Tec-C's,
however, do tend to be a bit scratchy.
Oh yeah, and this pen is erasable!!! It's not your ordinary erasable ink either,
this type of ink is much better! I only hope that jetpens gets more of the other
colors back in stock soon, because I absolutely need to buy the red one ASAP!
This eraser is AMAZING! I was previously using the Staedtler Mars plastic eraser
and I really liked it because it was able to erase lines incredibly well. The
downside, however, was the fact that my desk was always flooded with eraser
shavings by the end of my note-taking. This eraser, however, doesn't do that AND
it is erases just as well (if not better!) than the Staedtler. I don't think
that I'll be buying any other eraser from here on out!
So far, so good! I love that this protects my moleskine notebooks! I just put
them in the compartments located all over this case and then pop the whole thing
into my backpack. It helps prevent the edges of my paper and notebooks from
bending and looking bad. There's definitely more storage space than you can see
in this picture, which is a pleasant surprise. I love this thing, and I'm glad
that I bought it. I highly recommend it to you fellow Pennerds, and hope you
like it as much as I do! Durable, versatile, and great quality all describe this
So, I really wanted to like this product and spent quite some time trying to
write with it today, but I always ended up switching back to my Staedtler 925-85
Regulator drafting pencil. The kuru toga is nice, don't get me wrong, but it has
some drawbacks that I found a little bit annoying. Firstly, I never really saw
it reach it's ideal "surface area" and quite a few times it actually just
sharpened to a slanted tip, which it is advertised to prevent. Also, I felt like
despite using the same lead that I always use, the pencil sounded really
scratchy when I was writing in my moleskin notebook. Lastly, the sharp point
actually tore through my sheet of paper...twice! This has never happened with my
other 0.3mm drafting pencils! I really wanted this pencil to be amazing, because
the idea of it is amazing, but I feel as though the results would be more
profound if one were to use the 0.5mm version of this pencil. If you have a
light hand, or write in cursive, then this pencil might not be for you...because
a certain amount of downward pressure is needed to rotate the internal mechanism
I will give it another few chances but as of now I'd only give it 3 stars. Some
minor improvements could make this pencil a lot better! Anyway, maybe ill post
an updated review in a month or so :)
I love this product and am so happy that I decided to purchase it! When I
received it in the mail, it was actually bigger than I had imagined it would be,
but that was a good thing! The chalk inside is definitely better quality than
your "run of the mill" American made chalk and is certainly a different size.
The diameter of these chalks are about 1.5 times larger than standard chalk
(approximately), which helps to keep the chalk from snapping in half in the
middle of your lecture. The chalk holder also helps prevent the previously
mentioned problem as well! This product, when used in conjunction with the chalk
that was designed for it, is an absolute must for any teacher, lecturer, or
tutor who still has to use chalk boards. The only *comment* that I have is about
the chalk advance button at the top - it is not like a mechanical pencil that
dispenses out a given amount of chalk with each push, but is spring loaded and
can shoot out really fast if one isn't holding it in the right orientation.
On another note, as previous people have mentioned and the description of the
product says, the company that makes these is absolutely amazing. The company is
built on a solid business model that promotes environmental responsibility and,
more importantly, equal opportunity. To be honest, the fact that the majority of
employees in this company are mentally disabled was the major selling point for
me. I wanted to give my money to a business that actually cares about its
employees and helps provide challenged individuals with an opportunity to feel
validated and important in society.
Buy this product, not just because its great, but also because the company that
makes it is great as well!
This product comes in many colors, but I'm reviewing this one because it just so
happens that I ordered this color. This is a cool product that definitely works
well and is very innovative. I usually use it to paste diagrams or other, course
specific, visual aids into my notebooks. I used to use tape, but it looks ugly
all around the edges of the diagram and uses up some valuable writing space in
my moleskine notebooks! This nifty adhesive solved that problem! The only
downside, however, is that sometimes the adhesive doesn't make a "clean break."
It's really not that big of a deal though, which is why I still gave the product
Once again, the Japanese have designed a wonderful product. I honestly don't
even know why I buy American products anymore, especially school and stationary
supplies! I am a little bit OCD when it comes to taking notes and annotating
texts, so whenever I would accidentally "over-highlight" I would get somewhat
irritated. Of course, we've all faced this problem: you're reading your text,
find a great key point that's summed up in one sentence, go to highlight it, and
then all of a sudden you realize that you've highlighted the first word or two
of the next sentence! These highlighters are the solution! As other reviewers
pointed out, the color isn't as bright as some other highlighters are, but then
again sometimes those really bright highlighters can end up bleeding through the
pages in your textbooks! I would highly recommend these highlighters and I doubt
I'll ever buy another kind again! :-)
Amazing pen, fantastic quality. I've been looking for the Pilot Hi-Tec-C pens in
the US for the past 2 years, but I could never find them! Recently they have
been released into the market as the Pilot G-Tec-C line, but there are only a
select few colors available (red, blue, and black as far as I've been able to
find). When I saw that JetPens was carrying all of the other colors, I made sure
to buy the green pen right away. Buy this pen if you are particular about fine
point, precision writing instruments that are consistent and high quality!
I'll never use another pen again!
So I just received this pencil today from JetPens and I am already so satisfied
with it. Firstly, I got my order within 1 day of ordering it, but then again I'm
not that far from the warehouse that JetPens ships from. Secondly, as far as the
pencil is concerned, I am definitely satisfied. Like other people mentioned
before, it does rattle a little bit, but its not incredibly distracting and I
don't really mind it at all. The pencil feels great, has a pretty balanced
weight, and writes incredibly well. The real selling point, however, is the fact
that you can adjust how much lead comes out with each press of the lead advance.
I'm glad I made this purchase, and I think that I'll be switching to this pencil
as my primary use pencil (my old primary use pencil was the Pentel Graphgear
1000). This pencil feels super slick and has a super soft sleeve! Buy it!
