I bought this because it was a cute inexpensive pencil. I never thought that I
would fall in love with it the first time I used it. The grip is extremely
comfortable, the middle click to advance lead is actually really smooth and
easy. Remember those pencils with the click advance in the middle before, except
that it was an actual button? Well, this one is way better because there is no
button to get in your way when you're writing. It's just a gentle click while
you're holding it, no awkwardness at all. It's the perfect shape, weight, and
feel for writing for long periods of time.
These are so cute! But they have the oddest and most potent smell ever!
Hopefully the smell will wear away after in open air, but out of the box it
smells like burning. Not just the airplanes but the other ones as well. Great
for zippers too :)
The Best Pen Ever!!!! Platinum's great ink quality and the beautiful designs
come together in this pen! Buy it because you'll love it forever! The designs
are even better in person because they glisten in the light. Japan is famous for
their lacquer ware, and this pen is definitely the shinning example of their
expertise. The transitions between each function is smooth and effortless.
People always compliment me on the beauty of this pen, then they try it and want
to steal it :)
Great pen. However beware because it's a really slim body. If you're used to the
other pens from Platinum, you might be a little apprehensive to purchase this
one because it doesn't look that slim in the photograph; but it's about 2/3's
the size in width of Platinum's other pens. Most of the Platinum pens are
amazing. They have a great feel to them, and a really smooth ink quality. I've
never had those really gross ink clumps that come out of some pens when you
write with them too much. Their ink has a really quality and smoothness, just
superb. It's so smooth that it almost feels like gel pen's ink.
This pen is awesome! Even though its a little bit on the pricey side, it's
definitely worth it! The design is functional, and it has a really good weight
to it when you're writing. My advice for refills would be to buy the Platinum
Pen refills. It's the same pen refill for half the cost and with better ink. The
ink in the refills that this pen comes with is a little uneven and clumps a lot
when you write. Where as the Platinum ones are smoother and write more evenly.
Spending 75.00 on this pen is definitely money well spent!
