This ink offered high hopes for me until I tried it. It feathers like a peacock on my illustration board! Cannot use this for anything! Very disappointed as this stuff was not cheap. Down the drain it goes.

Now that I converted this pen into an eye dropper, the feed behaves marvelously and the ink flows without hesitation.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.

These ArtPens have been around awhile; and for good reason. These pens do what they do really well and are very reliable. They put down a wet line and do not skip at all. The 1.5mm allows for some nice variance in line thickness when used as a sketching tool.

Now that I have found a reliable way to make these pens refillable,.....they are perfect! The line it produces is amazingly close to that of a real brush; which is quite a feat for a felt tipped pen! The point always snaps back to a nice crisp one and it always remains juicy wet when producing the heaviest of lines! It's incredible. You can get a real fine line if you treat the pen with care. It's wonderful now that it can be refilled with any ink that I want!

This has replaced my Uni Kuru Toga rotating lead pencil as my new favorite. Basically the rotating lead seemed to start failing me after a year and the benefit was lost. So with that, I pulled out my Uni-Shift that I never even tried previously and realized that I had been bowing down to the Henchman rather than the King this past year. This Uni Shift Pipe Lock pencil is a fantastic tool and designed intelligently. I ordered this White model last week and after trying it today, I was not disappointed! Now I have two of these great instruments.

The pencil is solid and there are no loose parts to complain about. If I had a wish, I would love to see a 100% metal version of this pencil. I love the fact that when not in use, I can close the pencil so that the tip is hidden away and protected as I can be very clumsy at times.

I use this for all of my rough drafts and brain storms in my cartooning efforts.

This little Titan of a pen surprised me! The range on it is pretty remarkable starting at a really thin line to a medium-broad. Very nice! Refilling it seems easy enough and allows for a longer use than just once, long as the tip holds out. I really like it and will keep it for travel.

This pencil seemed too short when it arrived,....but there is just something about it that the moment it is in my hand, I feel at peace with my drawing! It's a marvelous pencil with a nice weight and girth about it. I removed the clip because I love the streamlined look to it. I do NOT share this pencil with anyone. It's THAT good!

If they ever offer a taller one with the same shape and girth, will be the ultimate pencil. This one is pretty darn close to perfection.

This pencil is one that will have to grow on me (no pun intended) as I really love the weight of it but was very disappointed in how short it was. I'm going to have to try and get used to the shortness of it before I can consider it as a daily user in my sketchbook.

The clip is useless as a stabilizer but may prove useful to those that plan to carry it on the go.

I find it to be a bit slippery, but I do love how it feels.

The weight is perfect.

It writes well and seems solidly built and well constructed.

Dry as a BONE!!! I'm not sue how these pens rated so high after I ordered two and BOTH were dry as a bone straight out of the package. I had to open them up and add a ton of Noodler's Black ink just to make them usable. Now I can use them for very fine detailed work and on long but slow, deliberate strokes. The fact that I can at least add ink to them does indeed prove helpful.

Understanding that these are classified as "super fine" I didn't expect a really juicy line, but these were really dry.

There are too many other choices out there. Pass on these, unless you want to fill them up with your own ink.

What makes the Zebras a step above my previous favorite Uniball brush pen is the mere fact that they are re-usable!
All I did to mine was remove the back cover, tap out the sponge reservoir and drop some PERMANENT ink into the sponge with a dropper (took just about 5 drops to really saturate it) and the pen was back in action with the added bonus of permanent ink!!
