This product is extremely comfortable and ergonomic. The ink is incredibly
smooth at 0.38 mm, and it never failed on me. This pen has literally made a
difference for me being on-the-go in the medical field and having to jot things
down on the spot and quickly. The ink flows out well and does not skip. The
rubber grip on this thing actually does its job. I cannot believe this is not
being sold anymore. If possible, please bring this pen model back!!! I have
several refills and wish I didn't lose some of the barrels, esp now that I
cannot get ahold of any more.
One of the first to purchase these! Glad I did b/c they sure sold out quick! My
first shaker pencil, was rather curious, and it is indeed really nice! I wasn't
sure how well the lead would advance in such types of pencils, but it comes out
at a reasonable interval; the grip is amazing as expected from an alpha-gel, and
the weight is just right to have a "solid" feel to the pencil. I love it!
The first ones of these I had were the pen & pencil pack I got from the U.S. I
somehow lost a few and now I only have one of the pens. Now I can't even find
them in stores around here! Not sure why! I found the barrel to be very
comfortable and the pen-writing to be amazing. I'm glad JetPens has these in
stock, and I purchased this one as a "backup" so that I have a total of 2. Great
pen, the ink for this is very smooth (wish the default ink were black instead of
blue), but a very solid and stable pen. I have written with this brand of pen
for over 4 years now, and I still do! Highly recommended.
I first heard about the 0.18 mm pen, was rather curious, and then decided that
the 0.28 mm pen might be a more practical one for daily use. I purchased many of
these pens (and of different colors), and they are absolutely amazing. I've
always been sort of against gel pens from experiences with very ordinary ones in
the U.S. that don't have consistent ink flow and make a line too thick. I've
used this pen for many months now, and I absolutely LOVE to write with it. A gel
pen made right! Waterproof too! Thin, readable line, consistent ink-flow. I do
have to warn you that if you drop this pen on the tip, it -will- render it
non-usable (but you should expect that considering the tip is so thin!). As long
as that doesn't happen, this pen will last you a good while, and I recommend
this to anyone who loves to write small and write a lot! Very smooth! I even
ordered these as gifts for others!
I've wanted a Dr. Grip for the longest time, and when I ran into JetPens, I saw
this interesting variation on the Dr. Grip (I suppose the equivalent of the U.S.
version of the Center of Gravity), and was rather attracted by this particular
design (all white!). I expected this to be a fantastic pen, and indeed it is!!!
This is by far the best pen in my collection of pens, and was definitely a
worthy investment. It fits both kinds of ink-refills (the shorter, thicker kind;
and the longer, thinner kind)! Absolutely pleased with this, and I expect to use
this long-term. Makes me love to write! The size is perfect for me, too!
I tend to hold my writing utencils "improperly" which tends to make my hands
tired relatively quickly. But over time, I've figured out certain kinds of
designs that gets me to hold them "properly" and to reduce my strain. Lo and
behold, this very miniature pen gets me to do that! It's a very nice item to
have around, and I can feel the immediate comfort while writing with this (I
have rather big hands, too, btw!). Woulda been nice if it had an eraser, but
then again, long-term-wise, I'd probably be using an outside eraser. Very
transportable, lead comes out at an excellent interval (for mine), and I think I
may begin to use this regularly/long-term for school! Great product, as expected
from Dr. Grip! (As currently pictured on this site, the actual pen is more of a
teal color than a regular blue color.)
The rubber grip is amazing, the design is sleek, I would give this not exactly
5/5 stars, but probably more like a 4.3/5.0, and this has to do with the design
of the pen: The spring is at the top of the pen, not toward the bottom, so it
seems to have a very subtle instability when you begin to write (has a "wiggly"
kind of feeling, and you can hear it too). Most pens like the Dr. Grip and the
Zebra are designed with the spring at the bottom, which confers a lot more
stability (e.g. very "solid" feel). The higher the spring, the more "wiggle"
room. The ink writes very smoothly, though.
