I don't dislike Retro 51's… somewhat in the middle. They're a cool pen, lots of funky designs which make them attractive and collectible, but "Top-Heavy" and slim to the grip. Ink cartridge, hmm… ok, not a Monteverde and certainly not a Lamy. The tip rattles slightly when you write [metal-on-metal] so if this is a bother I suggest you choose wisely. Makes a great gift… yet, if you're a pen fanatic you'll know. On the upside they're nearly indestructible and will last a lifetime, also has a good feel, twist to deploy - good clip.

I was using the "Hold That Thought" fluorescent paper ones until I found these… they're more durable plastic and good colors. Cleaner more professional looking and they don't curl.

They're unique and great for fine detailed work, similar to writing with a quill. Excellent ink & cartridge.
