This was part of my first JetPens order, and I couldn't be happier!
I typically use 0.3-0.4 points, and this isn't quite that small but it is
definitely acceptable. (If I had to guess I'd call it 0.5?) This pen writes so
smoothly and feels good in my hand. The cap feels very secure and I don't worry
in the least bit about it popping off (an issue I've had with other pens similar
to this - Papermate's Liquid Expresso/Liquid Flair, for example).
I'm curious as to how long the ink supply will last. I'm looking forward to
trying the Fine point and maybe even the Broad points as well.
I don't typically like ballpoint pens [I'm more of a gel girl], but I have to
say: I'm highly impressed with this pen. Upon purchase, I was initially worried
about the 0.7 ink [again, more of a 0.3-0.4 girl] but have been pleasantly
surprised. The pen feels fantastic in my hand - not too big in diameter and
definitely not too small. The overall shape of the pen makes it very
comfortable; the curves fit my hand well. I am not hugely impressed with the
ring in the middle for selecting an initial, but it doesn't annoy me by any
I really wish JetPens would post additional photos of this pen. One feature that
I absolutely love, I wasn't even aware of until I got the pen. The end to click
the pen open/closed is surrounded by a silicone-type cone (similar to the
grip).. Whenever you click the pen to open it, the silicone bends and creates a
nice little squash. I realize this has nothing to do with the writing ability of
the pen but I love this small detail.
All in all, I would recommend this pen to a friend.
I love the Hi-Tec-C line (G-Tec-C here in the USA), but am generally not a fan
of capped pens. When I found this pen, I thought I'd found the perfect little
writing instrument for me.. While it is a good pen, it is definitely not my
perfect pen. The ink is smooth, as expected, but the barrel is much smaller than
anticipated. The barrel is approximately the same size as a G-Tec-C without its
cap. However, the Slim Knock feels smaller in diameter than the G-Tec-C (I could
be wrong, though). Additionally, the Slim Knock feels basically weightless to
me (something I don't care for).
Despite the points above, the pen is great for those that are looking for
something compact; the pen would be great for slipping into a small wallet.
