This is a second review of this pen. I'm still very happy with the way it
writes and feels, but unfortunately for some unknown reason today when I took
off the cap to use it, ink went EVERYWHERE. It was leaking badly!!!! Ruined my
knew girafe onesy and all over my hands. Looks really bad, like I've cut myself
in a bad way. Red ink too!!! I'm very disappointed that this has happened.
Has this happened to anyone else? Is there something I may be doing wrong. Can
someone help me out please???
Georgeous colour and super soft feel. Good grip. Only drawback, if you can
call it that, is that the 0.3 leads break ever so easily. I am probably too
heavy on them so they snap all the time. Just need to learn patience when using
It's a very good converter and functions very well according to it's
specifications, however, it's very hard to see just how much ink it has actually
suctioned, or even to be able to check how much ink is left. You just have to
play it by ear.
It fits very well into my Cavalier, snug fit and has not leaked.
This is a beautiful, very elegant pen. The colour is just as lovely as it is in
the pictures. It took me a long time to break it in as I found it very scratchy
at the beginning but now writes like a dream. It looks more expensive than it
is. It will not dissapoint.
Whilst loving it's slenderness, I hate that I have to use the Pilot Con-20
converter as opposed to the Con-50 which is a piston filling converter which is
too fat to fit into the barrel of this Cavalier.
I would like to know however if the nib can be unscrewed for a more thorough
clean. Does anyone know for sure. I don't want to touch it in case I break it.
I originally wanted it in the brown because it looked nicer in the pictures, but
it was out of stock for a long time, so being the patient kitten that I am, I
said, "can't wait anymore, get the black", so I did.
It is lovely. Smooth and very elegant looking. Excellent for even a ladies
handbag because it just fits upright into those corners that are usually empty
because nothing can quite fit in there and ends up in the middle of the
I don't know about other people but mine holds 11 pens plus accessories. I have
included in those 13, a Prera, a Cavalier and an Tasche Ohto, all fountain pens.
A Filofax Pen and Pencil set which are quite fat, a Uni Propus Window
highlighter, a Pilot Air Blanc mechanical pencil, a Pilot Juice Pen, a Sephora
nourishing cuticle oil pen, 3 different packs of leads, a pack of mini erasers,
and there is room for two more pens to sit comfortably.
VERY IMPORTANT - DO NOT SCRAPE OFF OR TRY TO REMOVE THE RED WAX COVERING THE
WHY? - because you don't have to, it just screws off and the red wax is to make
it look pretty and old-fashioned.
I'm such a divvy, my husband still can't stop laughing at the memory of me
scrapping, cutting, slicing, peeling the red, wax-like covering on the screw-on
cap. I only managed to get tiny bits off, when my brain went into gear and I
turned it and guess what? - IT TURNED AND UNSCREWED just like it's supposed to.
OK, silly aside... It really is beautiful ink. It's very late at night which
means I have artificial light on now, and, I don't know if that is the reason,
but I can't see that rusty, goldy effect, perhaps tomorrow in natural daylight,
but I can however, appreciate the lovely red colour and it is so smooth.
The bottle is a work of art, and thanks to my cutting, slicing and peeling mine
looks even more antique, like something found in the Titanic's recovered items.
Very attractive exterior and contains a beautiful, smooth ink that is now one of
Excellent service again from Jet Pens. Thank you!!!
