This is not just a red pencil, or just another quite good red pencil. Good and very good red pencils are plenty and so easily available... but they do not manage to write a real red line or mark, but only reddish or very reddish at best.
THIS IS THE RED PENCIL. No reddish, but fully RED.
So whatever high praise I could write would fall very short: as far as I know, this RED remains unsurpassed.
Your money would be perfectly spent, not wasted at all.

This is simply an example of a lowest quality American-made item: cheapest plastics, no smooth operation, slippery grips, misaligned twisting tips, with which you can only propel the leads, but not retract them!!!!!!!!!. This is why European and Japanese writing items are so high beyond American standards. Do not waste your money, I already did it for you.

Try instead the cheaper...
Try instead the cheaper (and perhaps more aesthetically pleasant too) versions MOL-200 and MOL-500.

I have tried any and all blue leads. The blue 0.5 lead Mars Micro Color by Staedtler remains unsurpassable. Sorry: Pentel is still far away

AVOID if you like deep,...
AVOID if you like deep, rich colors. These are lightest, softest; nothing to do with the misleading outside. The "Pencil-Like 0.7" are both better and cheaper!!!

It is not worth at all:...

It is not worth at all: useless due to lack of grip. The four plastic (no metal) chucks do not have enough stregth to hold fast the chalk, so it slips inside. So holder is just... holder for carrying.
