It is good for a $3 pen. I bought this at a Japanese stationary store called Mai Do in a San Francisco Mall, Westfield Mall. Although. this is only a good starter pen for people wanting to dip their feet into fountain pens. Nib is very flexible, in a way that is plastic. I do tend to forget to recap sometimes, so it gets really annoying when I have to scratch somewhere with it to get the ink again. The provided ink is all right, but I pretty much refilled it with Noodler's bullet proof ink. Ink dries fast, but at least it takes a little less time with Noodler's... It's nice to carry around when you don't want to worry about replacing your really expensive fountain pens. When you write with it, it flows out pretty well even with light hand... most of the time. If you are a real fountain pen enthusiast though, it's best to look at a more notable company and dish out extra cash. You will be happier in the long run.
