Create beautifully long and break-resistant points with this one-step pencil sharpener. The sharpener creates a slightly concave tip shape, which provides a nice balance of strength and precision. Its sturdy aluminum construction and compact size make it perfect for carrying in a pocket or pencil case. The built-in canister has enough space to hold the pencil shavings from three fresh sharpenings before needing to be emptied.

To empty the sharpener, unscrew the knurled top section of the sharpener and pull out the sharpening unit. Pour out the pencil shavings, then reassemble the sharpener.

    I have had two of these sharpeners, and have used them since they appeared. This sharpener is inferior to the less expensive two-step sharpener. And inferior to other sharpeners. I know what I'm doing with pencils, and this sharpener breaks more points on Blackwing pencils than any other sharpener I used. It's attractive design, and a pleasure to look at, but I don't find it as efficient as other sharpeners.
