These are excellent point protectors for Blackwing pencils; they fit securely and look great. Unfortunately, they only fit Blackwing pencils - I have tried them on several other brands, and they just fall off. They are quite expensive, too. They are really more 'pencil jewelry' than practical writing or drawing tools.
Kutsuwa's Stad Aluminum Pencil Caps don't look as cool, but they are adjustable to fit different pencils, and cost about one-tenth as much.

I wish the gold matched the color of the eraser-holder on the Blackwing pencils--it is darker and brassier. But in terms of function it is great.

I bought this thinking it would best match the "gold" on my Blackwing pencils, but it's really not the same shade at all (it's much more saturated and warm). Seems sturdy and well made, but also maybe a little overbuilt and doesn't really snug up on the pencil in a satisfying way. It's nice but in the end I think I prefer cheaper point protectors.

It's good. Bigger than I thought it would be and that can make it difficult to store in my backpack and pencil case

Well-made and does exactly what it's supposed to do; lengthen the life of my Blackwing lead.
