  • Copic Multiliner Pen...

Copic Multiliner Pen - 0.3mm - Wine. Waterproof, bleed-proof, acid-free, archival quality, and a great color what's not to like?

I love the color and find this a very comfortable pen to write with. Many of the pigment / permanent / archival fineliners have a stepped cylindrical arrangement from the metal tip to the barrel, increading in diameter in 2 steps. I hold my pens down by the tip, and often find myself holding the stepped-cylindrical-style pens at the junction of 2 sizes of cylinder, which is not very comfortable when writing for any length of time.

I usually use Sakura Microns for my fineliners, but I started using markers recently, and wanted to try out some colored fineliners for a change. People seemed to be using the Copics a lot, so I decided to give them a shot, and I'm glad I did! Gorgeous colors (this Wine, especially), and they all handle so delicately. The ink looks beautiful when you fill in small areas too, which isn't something I can say about all pens - sometimes the ink pools and looks weird, but these create very pretty color fields.

Not much else to say about these - I completely love them. Right up there with Sakura's Microns now. I'll be adding these to my toolbox!

I make photo albums for my children by hand (not online), so have been looking for good pens to write captions under the photos. These are wonderful! The .3 writes quite thin and .5 is good too. Clear, crisp lines, and lovely colors!!

I bought the Lavender and Wine in the 0.5 mm to try them out and discovered that the tip was too chunky for my writing style, so I went for the 0.3 mm of the same colours, in addition to the Pink, Cobalt and Olive. All the colours are vibrant and richly pigmented, and the pens are smooth writers. My favourite are the Pink and the Lavender, though all the colours are lovely. I don’t have any similar colours to Lavender, but it’s in between the Sakura Gelly Roll Classic Baby Blue and Lilac in tone. The Wine is similar to but duller than the Pilot Juice Dark Red. The Pink is very much like the Sakura Pigma Micron Rose Pink. The Cobalt is unique, and I don’t have any colours similar to it. The Olive is very much like the Sakura Pigma Micron Hunter Green, which is what I had hoped for.

The pen is comfortable to hold and easy to uncap thanks to the clip that I use to help me. I wish they’d come in more colours!
