An absolutely fantastic product. The available colors remind me of the Uni-Ball Signo Off Black line; professional and pleasing to look at. The notebook is made of my favorite paper, and the A5 size is perfect for most general uses. What's not to love?

The cardstock cover is reasonably sturdy, and the notebook easily lies flat. Tomoe River paper will take most writing utensils with ease, and will show off all of my favorite fountain pen inks. It has double the pages of the Midori A5 notebooks while remaining the same width. This is something that will last. I am already finding every possible excuse just to write in this notebook.

My only gripe is that it is available only in dot grid; I would love to see a 5mm or 3.8mm grid version sometime in the future.

This notebook is what dreams are made of. If you love the paper and feel of a Hobonichi but want the freedom of a bullet journal, this is your book.

These are the best kept secret in journals. I love everything about these, from the smooth matte cover, to the TR 52g paper, and most importantly, the lay flat writing surface. I feel that this is so important, and can't understand why all journals aren't created this way. Oh, and before I forget, the price! What a steal for 320 pages with a light dot grid. These are my favorites - hands down the best.

This has quickly become my favorite journaling notebook: the thin pages make this look deceptively, well, thin, until you realize you've written months' worth of multi-page journal entries and been able to carry the book with you while others have had to buy multiple notebooks to span the same time period. Considering how much text you can fit into this notebook, it's an amazing deal, too. I really appreciate that the cover is very unassuming, and you can get it in various muted colors.

The notebook lays flat and feels sturdy. I've been able to write comfortably in it even when the notebook is on my lap and I'm slouched on a sofa!

The Tomoe River paper is, as expected, smooth to write on, but not slippery (compared to, say, the more glide-y Mnemosyne journals I have), and the dot grid on the pages is just visible enough to be helpful, but not distracting to someone like myself who usually prefers blank/unlined pages because I vary the size of my handwriting and love to doodle on the pages, too. In fact, when I look back on the text-filled pages, I forget that there ever was a dot grid underneath.

A great notebook for all types of uses!
