Carefully crafted by passionate fountain pen enthusiasts in China, Majohn pens offer a remarkable combination of style, quality, and affordability.

The N6 combines a stunning acrylic barrel with both a stainless steel fountain pen nib and a glass dip pen nib. The nibs unscrew from the grip section, making them easy to switch between whenever you want. It includes a converter for filling the pen with bottled fountain pen ink when the fountain pen nib is installed.

The extra fine nib steel fude nib is bent slightly and creates a brushlike fine line—ideal for writing with some line variation.

Notes:

  • The glass nib can only be used as a dip pen nib. It does not have a feed and cannot be used with ink cartridges or a converter.
  • Ink is not included with this pen.

The Majohn brand was previously known as Moonman. Some product packaging may still be labeled as Moonman, or differ from the packaging photos shown.

Very pleased with the make of this lovely pen. The glass nib writes very well once you find the "sweet spot", and holds a lot of ink. Changing into the fude nib was easy as pie, and that nib is very smooth with a slightly wider line than the glass nib. The pen is comfortable to hold, if rather short -- and the cap can't be posted at all, so make sure you have a place to keep it from rolling away.

Meh. The glass nib is too thick to be any good use. The steel nib is actually good but not special. The pen body was ok. I like that it has the eye dropper ability but I got it really wanting the glass job functionality and was very disappointed there. As always jet pens was fabulous in their delivery and packaging.

I bought this mainly for the convenience and novelty of having a capped glass nib. I have a glass pen already that I love, but unfortunately it’s packaging wasn’t suitable for long term use for storage, so I have to keep my pen wrapped up in a soft paper towel when I put it away and I’m always worried I’m going to break it. I was hoping this pen would offer me the writing experience of a glass pen with the durability of a fountain pen.

First of all, when I received this pen, the converter appeared to be broken. There’s a spring loose in the ink reservoir that’s not shown in the product picture here, so I assume it’s not supposed to be like that. I have not tried to fill it with ink to see if it’s usable or not — I don’t want to deal with the potential mess if it’s critically broken and it wasn’t what I bought the pen for anyway. Thus, this is a review of the glass nib only, but it’s definitely something worth noting.

The glass nib I received is very scratchy and doesn’t hold ink very well. I knew that the shorter nib wouldn’t hold as much ink as my original glass pen, but this one I find very hard to find a sweet spot between soaking the paper with ink and having enough ink to make it through a word or two without dipping. I’m not sure if maybe using a rough paper to ‘sand down’ the nib will help me with the scratchy tip, but I don’t think there’s a cure for the ink capacity.

But it does cap and I can throw it in a pen case. It’s not what I was hoping it would be, but it does work. I don’t regret buying it but I can’t recommend it. I also believe this will be my last Moonman pen purchase. I’m glad I didn’t go wild purchasing the other Moonman pens I had my eye on.
