I think these inks are extremely underrated. I had two samples of Monteverde Ink and I loved it so much I bought three bottles from JetPens and I do not regret it. First of all all the colors they have are beautiful, rich, deep, and distinct hues. I think they're all very pretty, but this particular blue just might be my favorite ink color in the world! Besides that they flow better than any ink I've ever put in a pen including Noodler's black, diamine inks, J. Herbin inks and even lamy inks, yet they do not bleed or feather profusely. They may tend to feather just a little more than some relatively drier inks but even on non-fountain pen friendly paper it is not too bad. There are pens I have that are rough and scratchy with every ink I put in them EXCEPT the monteverde inks. I cannot say enough good things about this ink. The only downside is it is completely not waterproof or permanent but if that's what it takes to get an ink this pretty and smooth then I don't care.

Preference for colors is subjective. That said, this is the perfect blue for me. It is not as dark as in the picture, it flows well in both an expensive pen (Montblanc) and a lower priced pen (Cross Radiance). I cannot say I will never try another blue ink, but I am quite satisfied with this ink. I am also pleased with the service received from JetPens.

This current production of Monteverde "Horizon Blue" fountain pen ink is , I believe , a close clone of the old Parker Penman Sapphire series. I enjoy it in my Lamy Vista today. The price point , is not a problem..

Beautiful deep blue in a TWSBI ECO F. Well behaved with some shading.
