This is my 3rd Pilot Metropolitan because I just love them that much. I'm a tiny writer and the fine nib on these is actually fine but the inks that I've put in them (Noodler's, Diamine and the Pilot cartridge that comes with it (Pilot Namiki) inks) have all flowed beautifully from the nib. There is no scratchiness and when I remember to not write like I'm using a ballpoint I can barely feel the nib on the page. I use these from everything to cheap notebook paper to Rhodia to Leuchtterm 1917 to Tomoe River paper.

Out of all my fountain pens, this is one of my favorite fountain pens. The lines are thin and there isn't too much ink coming out at once. The only problem I have with it, is that the ink would sometimes be on the edge of the cap, and when I open up the pen to use it, some of the ink would transfer onto the place where I hold the pen, and it would get on my fingers.

I have a love/hate relationship with fountain pens. I suspect it's just because I have bad form. That said, I'm really liking this pen. The weight feels good. The nib writes smoothly, effortlessly. I just realized I don't really have any complaints specific to this pen, so I changed from 4 stars to 5. I would prefer a heavier, fatter pen, but that isn't the pen's fault.

This pen is a very smooth writer! The ink flow is very consistent and I can pick it up the next day and it begins to write immediately. The color is so pretty, that this pen begs to be written with.

This is a beautiful and very smooth writing pen. I am finding it to be perhaps a bit leaky. This may be operator error. Even still, I want these in every color!
