I got all 3 sets of the Emott 0.9mm colored mechanical pencils. I use colored pencil occasionally for art work. I prefer mechanical pencils since you don't have to sharpen the leads. Past experience with 0.7mm colored leads lead to the lead frequently breaking. The EMOTT 0.9mm leads never broke once during testing.

Pros: The 0.9mm leads did not break once while coloring a chart of color blends.
The 0.9mm lead covers more area more quickly than the smaller 0.5mm and 0.7mm lead.
Colors blend well with each other.
Colors layer well and do build up deeper colors when layered.
Colors blend very easily using a colorless alcohol blender marker.
Pencils worked flawlessly advancing the lead easily and retracting as needed.

Cons: The tiny eraser did not erase that well - not a deal breaker though.
No white or gray lead for highlights or tones.

These pencils worked great. It would be nice to see a 0.9mm multi-pencil format with the EMOTT color leads. For an artist these pencils should work well in sketchbooks, thumbnails, etc.

I really like these. The lead is smooth and the colors are very readable. I color code a lot of what I write but its annoying to constantly sharpen colored pencils. So these are a great substitute, even if they are 0.9. (I'm more of a 0.5 person)

They're a little expensive but I do want to get all the colors at some point.

Underrated feature: the pencils and the refill holders SNAP into the holder. So if it tips over, they stay! I also have a pen in this same line which also fits into this holder.

Really _wonderful_ lead! I also quite like the Innovative stand, with a built-in spot for the very cool spare lead holder. These pencils are easy to load, a pleasure to use, and would make a wonderful gift. I have owned dozens of mechanical pencils and, oddly, these are my favorites. These write more smoothly than any mechanical pencils that I have used previously. These look cool and are fun and easy to use! I’ve stopped using my more expensive mechanical pencils and now just use these, quite happily.

Good. The vibrancy of the colors and feel of the lead on paper is similar to Prismacolor Col-Erase.

I have been mainly using these for light sketching and drawing figures on math exams. I would not recommend these for shading in large swarths of area.
