This is my favorite plastic pen, the clip doesn't break (as easy) as other plastic pens thanks to the clip mechanism, the anti sliding rubber grip is generous in the space used, and the ink is among my favorites in the gel category, also, it doesn't scratch the paper and produces a thin to medium line. A very well designed every day pen.

This is my favorite black gel ink, not glossy and deep black color on the paper, looks almost like printed book quality.

I've bought these before and always found them reliable and really comfortable to use. My mom (raised by Depression-era parents) has a habit of keeping EVERY free/cheap pen she acquires. She has a funny-looking pen rack in the kitchen that holds them, along with stubs of pencils, pencils that she has no way to sharpen (she doesn't own a pencil sharpener!), etc. So before she left on a trip to see relatives, I gifted her with one of these and said, "Clear every other writing utensil from your purse. This is the only one you need." When she returned she said it was now her very favorite pen! It may or may not change her overall habits. I'm SURE she isn't going to get rid of the weirdo pen rack...but maybe I can convince her to throw a few of the pens that will never work again? We shall see!

All things considered, these are similar to a Pilot G2. Writing with these feels a bit smoother than with G2 gel pens but it isn't a huge difference. I personally find the Sarasa to be more comfortable in the hand than the G2. I rarely use the clip on my pens/pencils but if you're someone who does then you'll appreciate the clip on this pen. Compared to most other pens, the clip is really durable since it uses a spring instead of tension.

One complaint I have is that the ink seems to run out quickly compared to other gel pens.

the body is quite comfortable, and looks very similar to the muji clip pens which are around the same price. when i bought the pen i already knew i was going to put a pentel energel 0.5 refill, as i like the ink better. the ink in this pen is ok, but the tip makes it feel kinda scratchy. i would still recommend this pen because the body is amazing, and fits most normal refills.

I generally like to write with finer tipped pens, but at work, I sometimes have a need for something bolder, and this pen is perfect. I love the rich, smooth, dark ink and the Sarasa Clip pens perform better than any other! I didn't think I'd like the .5, because that size came in my Sarasa Grand, and I didn't like using it...but it's the Sarasa Grand that was the problem, it's just too heavy.
The .5 in the lighter weight plastic body is a whole different feel, and much easier and more enjoyable to write with.
